Spektr-RG (Russian: Спектр-РГ, Spectrum + Röntgen + Gamma; also called Spectrum-X-Gamma, SRG, SXG) is a Russian–German high-energy astrophysics space observatory which was launched on 13 July 2019. The primary instrument of the mission is eROSITA, built by the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) in Germany. It will conduct a seven-year X-ray survey,the first in the medium X-ray band less than 10 keV energies, and the first to map all estimated 100,000 galaxy clusters. This survey may detect new clusters of galaxies and active galactic nuclei. The second instrument, ART-XC, is a Russian high-energy X-ray telescope capable of detecting supermassive black holes. This is my first time making 3D character art, so it took long to make this model. I was never satisfied with the body and textures of the Elite, so I was constantly changing and adding things. After the Elite was finally finished, I decided out of the blue that the Elite needed a plasma rifle. Then I had to model that gun too, which also took a million years… However, it was the most fun personal project I’ve ever done, and I learned so much from it! I will definitely be making more character art in the future. The alien in question is a Covenant Elite Zealot or Sangheili Zealot. I’m a huge fan of Halo and I was shocked to realize I’ve never done 3D Halo stuff before. So I chose to make an HD remake of the classic Halo CE elite zealot, with some of my own changes here and there. At a strip mall across town is this concrete Statue of Liberty. I’ve driven by it for years. I decided to do a quick and dirty model of it. By the time I got to the strip mall, the sun was close to setting and I had to hurry. As you can see, South Dakota seasons are hard on decorative concrete sculptures like this one. The agragate under the surface of the concrete is starting to show in places where the concrete has worn away. The protective paint is patchy giving moisture more places to penetrate and wear down the concrete. This model is just the latest generation cast from a prototype I first saw in the 1980s when the Statue of Liberty’s centennial was approaching. Liberty fever was on the rise and someone cashed in by creating this stylized replica. It has been recreated in aluminum, fiberglass and concrete. It can be found in numerous statuary and garden centers. My daughter found a dead hornet (Vespa crabro) body in our warehouse, and I decided to give this scan a try. A couple of years ago, hornets made a nest in our yard, and it was pretty much impossible to walk around and not bump your head into one of these. In terms of scans, the wings are the hardest parts, I’ve remodelled parts of them in Blender, but the work is far from finished. I’m impressed with what Metashape did with the scanned material. Model created with Agisoft Metashape decimated with InstantMeshes. Shot with Canon 90d + 100mm macro lens. This project started as a small desire to model something medeval. I started on the catapalt, and from there wanted to animate it. However i thought it would be fun to have a looping animation. This then spawned the idea to create a character who was determined to siege this tower after after he formed a sort of rivalry with the owner of the tower. I ended up adding a lot of addition props to the scene that i hadnt originally accounted for. I also removed a character from the tower, who i put a bit of time and work into, but he just didnt fit into the scene well enough (i may do a seperate/individual upload of that character). This was my first animation (in several years) of my own character, modeled and rigged from scratch. Im not really an animator, but i thought it would be a fun challenge to add in a character and fully animate them. Modeling and animation was completed in Maya and Zbrush. He went up through the ranks to Captain. He was chauffeur for Jesse (Boots) Hutsell (Division Fire Chief) around 1970 and then spent his remaining years at Station 14, near the Children’s Museum. Hi everyone ! This is my entry for Street Food Vendor challenge. It’s a ciğerci vehicle. Ciğer means “Liver” in Turkish and very famous amongst Turkish people. We like it a lot. There is a vendor who sales it for about 30 years in Ankara, who is famous with his liver food. So I’m inspired by hic vehicle. When I see him in the streets of Tunalı Hilmi Street (in Ankara), I became so happy to eat his famous food. Kokorec and ciğer are the most consumed offals by Turkish people, so directly came to people’s mind. As an Ankaran, I had to pay my respects to Ciğerci Naci, Famous Liver Vendor. Sorry it took too long. My main idea was creating a kokorecci vendor model (kokorec is made of guts of lamb) but one of the other people made that so I had to turn back. Missed deadline by 1 hour (I was missed with 1 min but uploading textures and stuff.) Hope you enjoy it.
