The 3D model presents a digital look of a historical costume from a Russian lubok print “Farnos i Pigasia” dating to the 18th century. The costume was made for a theatrical performance «Indecent is decent» (Ivanovo State Museum of Local History named after D.G. Burylin, October 30, 2019 – March 1, 2020, http://xn–80ablhhepdp1a2ae9h.xn–p1ai/). The 3D reconstruction was made by using historical block patterns, 2D scans of textile materials and 3d scans of contemporary actors. Anthroscan, Clo3D, SubstancePainter and Unreal Engine 4 software programs were applied. Tri-Count: ~45k without tracks, ~70k with tracks. Textures: Each of the tank’s modules has it’s own texture-set. The overall texel-density is equal on all pieces, and the UVs are laid out in such a way, that a tiling camo-pattern is not being obstructed too heavily. The texture-sets also include a camo/colour-mask to allow for an easy application of camouflage. Full name: Armillary sphere by Franciszek Słupski (1771) An armillary sphere is an astronomical instrument, a model of the celestial sphere. It was used to demonstrate celestial phenomena and determine the time and equatorial and ecliptic coordinates. The armillary sphere enabled simulation of astronomical phenomena, including the movement of planets in relation to the Sun. It was made by Franciszek Słupski as part of his doctoral thesis defended at the Philosophy Department of the University of Kraków. The values of body measurements were taken from a sizing table published in “The Cutters Practical Guide to the Cutting of Ladies’ Garments” (V.D.F. Vincent, 1890). The measurements of the mannequin are: bust – 36 inches; waist – 26 inches; hip – 40 inches. In order to record the relevant measurements of the mail rings, we used a list of parameters. This list includes 11 parameters for a riveted ring and four parameters for a solid ring. The accuracy of the digital replicas of the rings was 0.01 mm. Neonate pygmy right whale skeleton, collected in Victoria, Australia in 2019, approximately 185cm long. There are many fascinating aspects to the anatomy in this specimen - features characteristic of very young juveniles, morphology unique to whales, and injuries to the skeleton in this particular individual. Frozen specimen from the Museums Victoria mammalogy collection (NMV C40064), CT scanned (Siemens Somatom go.UP medical CT) at Monash Biomedical Imaging. Skeleton segmented from CT data using Mimics Research (v. 21.0), with meshes further processed and re-articulated in Blender 2.82. Due to perimortem damage to the skeleton, some elements were digitally repaired and mirrored for this visualisation. Scanning funded by Monash University.
