Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment.
For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories.
While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago.
Textured in Photoshop and modelled in 3ds MAX.

It was such a great project to work on! It was tons of fun to work on a complex character and make it game ready! The task was really challenging since this is the first attempt at a complex character in stylized style but I really love how it turned out. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing. This semi stylized character was a LOT of work. Like for real. I had a lot of fun though! Especially the texturing process really brought her to shine! I did struggle quite a lot with the face though, and it still didn’t quite turn out as I wanted it to. However, I think it turned out neat overall.

For the course Stylised Creation at Howest DAE I made this cute dog. This assignment was focussed on going through the whole pipeline (blockout - sculpting - retopology - UV Layout - texturing - presentation). This little guy was sculpted in ZBrush, retopo and UVs were done in Maya and I used Substance Painter for the final texturing touches.
