Unfortunately I could’t get full coverage because I coun’t get very close to the subject, maybe 20m the closest, I could’t get all the photos I wanted especially from the top. This was one of times I wish I had a drone (not sure if it’s even allowed to fly in that area anyway), so I tried my best with a 400mm lens handheld from any place I could walk around it. I managed anyway to get comfortably 3x8K textures and normals in a relatively low poly model. The monument to the Ukrainian poet, writer, artist and thinker Taras Grigorievich Shevchenko is located in the center of Kharkov - in the Shevchenko Garden, at the entrance to the central alley from the side of Sumskaya Street. The total height of the monument is over 16 meters, the statue is 4.5 meters. The goal of the project is to obtain sufficient information for further modeling and study of all details. To solve this problem, we used an RTC360 laser scanner, a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone and a Canon EOS R camera. In the course of the work, laser scanning, photography from a quadrocopter and additional photos were carried out. The next stage was office processing. The second cycle was implemented using Leica Cyclone and Reality Capture programs, which were enclosed in data binding to a coordinate system. The next point was an automatic combination of aligned point clouds and photographs. Ungru Manor is one of the most impressive neo-baroque buildings in Estonia, although the castle was never fully completed. It is an imposing building, which is an almost exact copy of the Merseburg Castle in Germany. Behind the construction of the manor was a sad love story: Count Ungern-Sternberg fell in love with the daughter of the lord of Merseburg Castle, who had promised to spend her entire life in Merseburg Castle. The count promised to build an exact replica of the building and she agreed to move there.
