Originally a much simpler asset, I began creating this model in Blender as a simple exercise before deciding to take the project further by improving the geometry, texturing and overall design of the asset. This included adding barbwire which initially was easy to make, but became extremely tedious when implementing changes and so I created a custom generator tool to improve iteration time and with considerably more accuracy. This was then baked in Marmoset and later textured in Substance Painter, using two materials with 4K texture sheet (using overlapping UVs to maximise quality) and a non-destructive workflow for fast iteration, then finally rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3. I wasn’t able to optimize it for sketchfab without loosing too much quality (normally I’d hide parts of the model) so it’ll take a bit to load the textures and unfortunately (also for me) some of you (with slower GPUs) will struggle a bit to see the content - in that case, please pause the animation. It’s a complete model of the 911SC from ‘83. It’s completely unwrapped, with painted textures and rigged. The rig is of course made for this animation but I’ll attach a different one suitable for Unreal Engine.
