This is a complete guide on how we created this stylized viking asset. We used a mix of Blender, Zbrush, and Topogun for the modeling section. The model was then textured in Substance painter and finally rendered in Blender 3 with the help of the compositor.

The rune stones of the Viking period were erected in memory of the dead – mostly powerful people – and their honourable deeds. They were intended to be visible and were painted in bright colours. The stones often stood near roads or bridges, where many people passed by. They were not necessarily placed at the burial of the person they commemorated.
The rune stones bring us very close to the Vikings. Their inscriptions feature the names of the people who lived and died at this time. They also provide information about the travels, great achievements and sad fates of these individuals.

An update of my old low poly TIE fighter model, with windows cut in and a low poly interior, complete with pilot, added- adds a ton of depth and realism. None of it is meant to hold up in closeups, but it looks great from afar. The whole thing is ~5.5k tris, so if you want a hangar full or a fleet of them, it won’t slow down your scene. Perfect for all your imperial needs!
PBR textures made in Substance Painter. The exterior is 2k, the interior is 1k, the pilot is 512x512.
Cutting in the windows a couple years after the outside model was done made for some very messy topology around them, but the overall ship is still low poly enough, and no one will notice. The glass is also currently single-sided, just to be more performant than trying to have glass with thickness and refraction. An ancient Egyptian arched sistrum (musical percussion instrument similar to a rattle). The provenance is unknown as the piece was purchased in Luxor in 1908. It likely dates to the Late Period.
The sistrum is pierced twice on each side of the arch where the moving pieces would have been inserted. Below the arch, we see a wedjat eye above a nb-sign. Hathor’s head is flanked by two columns and bears her characteristic plaited wig. This example is unusual for the lack of a double headed Hathor, only one side bears Hathor’s face with the back of the sistrum featuring the sun disk and horns (Hathor’s symbol).
The inscription reads “Words spoken by Bastet-Iru-Di-Set”.
