The tomb was discovered in 1905 by James Quibell and contained the partially looted burials of Yuya and his wife Thuya of the 18th Dynasty. Something I actually made years ago, before all the fictional stadiums I’ve uploaded, it’s the first stadium I ever made with gangways & concourses inside the stands connected to access/exit ways, so despite it’s not as good as my most detailed stadiums (that’s why I prioritized the upload of more recent stadiums), is still pretty good, besides being a big step forward in my improvement process. Wanted to try something a little more stylised this time round. I’ve been doing a bit of reading in to the art style and rendering techniques behind Team Fortress 2 (Over a decade old and still looking great!), and got the idea to adapt a basketball hoop i’ve been making. This model was created by Lara Wischert, current student at Maastricht University/ Media Studies - Digital Cultures. The bamboo straw is part of the digital collection “21st century time capsule” and stands representative for the modern struggle for sustainability. The plastic straw has become the scapegoat for overconsumption. Even though we produce reusable alternatives, we cannot get plastic pollution under control. The media outcry about plastic straws hurting sea animals has made a great impact on current views on plastic straws. During my work, I drew attention to the materials from which the elements of the knee pad are made. I tried to convey the contrast between the materials, the nature of the materials, their tectonics and plastic. The total budget of polygons amounted to 998 triangles. UV maps were made with UVPackmaster add-on for Blender.
