The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons. A faraam armour knight I created for my Masters degree final year project. Based on the concepts and artwork of the Faraam Armour from Dark souls 2 & 3. The character is around 70k polys, with about 30k of that being hair cards. Sculpted in Zbrush and retopped in 3ds Max, textured in Substance Painter and Designer. Hair cards were created using Maya Xgen.
