This is my submission for the Airship games art jam. The theme is ‘Growth’, so I went in a bit of a different direction to most, and a direction that’s closer to home. I’m hoping I’ve done the emotion justice here. I wanted to try and capture a sense of gentleness, of a single moment of growth that is simultaneously ground-breaking but also fragile and vulnerable - the eggshell softly cracking. In this asset, I bring a bus body model that was very popular in Brazil and in some Latin American countries in the 70s. The production of this model bodywork started in 1971 and ended in 1975 (its successor Marcopolo III went into production at the end of 74). For me this model of bus represents a lot, especially with the painting of this company, TransCampos, a local company (now extinct) that connected two small towns in the interior of my state. Me, my brother and my mother sometimes traveled on this exact model of bus, the route was always a dirt road (often in poor condition), either in one direction to go near the case of my maternal grandparents, or else , in the other direction to the largest city in the region, Pelotas (Rio Grande do Sul). Full name: Ner Tamid Lamp from the Great Synagogue in Oświęcim, Poland Known as Ner Tamid (Hebrew: “eternal light”), the lamp symbolises the presence of divine light and as such should be kept aflame in a synagogue at all times, regardless whether the temple is open. This tradition is a reminder of the everlasting menorah in the Temple in Jerusalem (also known as The First Temple). The lamp on display was discovered, alongside other objects, during archeological excavations conducted in 2004 on the site once occupied by the Great Synagogue in Oświęcim, before it was razed to the ground by the Nazis in November 1939. This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop… The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. This is my personal studying project called “Martian Colony”. Textured in 3D-Coat, most of the props have 1k textures. My colony has some living blocks, the laboratory, gates to the mine with some crystals, and the mining vehicle full of them. And in the center of the scene, I placed the obelisk, which initially attracted the attention of researchers. Sometimes I want to make some extra-polishing, but it’s time to finish and move ahead. It has optimized topology, but many of the props are duplicates, so the total number of triangles could be less. Some of my favorite props are also published separately in my profile. This is my first experience in creation a lowpoly character model from a hipoly model. Life on the steppe and various nomadic religious beliefs influenced traditional Kazakh clothing—it was practical in that it protected from the cold and windy weather, was comfortable to wear on horseback, and was also made of natural materials. The quality of clothes and their individual elements also made it possible to ascertain the social status of a Kazakh and the family or clan to which he belonged.
