This one was captured at abandoned airfield (aviation school) in Volchansk - 75km from my city. After Soviet Union collapse in 1991 this airfield has been closed, lots of aircraft stood there under open and guarded by few militaries. In 2013 all guards gone, and locals starts to disassemble aircraft. Now, there only fuselages left, a couple of helicopters remains one engine. Lots of L29 airplanes, An-2, Mi-2 helicopters. This place nowadays becomes some kind of museum. Hundreds of people visits it on holidays. I took around 2000 photos of helicopter, 1867 was good. Nikon d5300, 18-55mm@18mm kit, 1/160 s, f/8, ISO-125. It appears, that lots of photos are blurred, so I deleted them, but I still unsatisfied with remaining photos. I had no time to visit this place again to make good photos, so I left it as is 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1501216 polygons.

The model of the ancient fountain was scanned from real photographs. 3D reconstruction generated with photogrammetry software 3DF Zephyr processing 192 images (camera Canon EOS 60D). After generation, mesh was decimated to create model with less count of triangles. The model has 4k textures and 575.6k triangles. This is an entry into the 3DF Zephyr 2020 Worldcup competion, round #2. The rules are no outside editing or fixing, so any minor issues you see would otherwise be easily painted out. At the end of Miller’s Canyon (Central Utah), just across the highway, is a huge plateau of yellow sandstone sitting on top of incredibly fluffy blue-gray sediment. Sometimes a block of sandstone will break off and roll down the soft slopes and end up out in the flats. Over a thousand years these huge blocks will weather and decompose into amazing shapes. These rocks are called “Miller’s Cows”. Some are as big as a bus, but these have eroded to almost nothing– just the bones of the cow.
