A little Sea-Creature concept I did for University and I think it turned out great. Lurchling is a small but mischievous underwater Creature that likes to live in shallow water between seaweed and other water plants. There it blends in with the vegetation and waits for it’s prey to appear. But one snack is never enough and so a single Lurchling can decimate the fauna of a swamp drastically and also fights with its own kind about territory. Another new installation of the dragon variants after a while, but less outdated this time. A variant of dragon, progenitor of a once renowned hierarchy among the dragon world. Yet another rig of a variant of dragon I made in a span of 3 weeks. Though I very mostly made up the design as I went along (as usual) I had several insperations in which some may show more than others ranging from a VRex to the modern godzilla, to crocodiles to a handful of dragon art on the internet and etc. Would look even better if Sketchfab was able to process Blender bendy bones, but outside of Blender the tail, neck and wings will look like that (and if animation was my specialty). Was originally going to be a dark gray and somewhat similar and simpler patterns, but ended up with this instead. Didnt really establish any kind of lore n stuff as usual ,but I would imagine about this boi being a green fire breather that would result into toxic or venomous fumes and being extremely ferral. Another alternate scavenger desert species but more of a rocky type desert and such. Fatally venomous and hostile, but nevertheless resourceful from whatever and “whomever” resources they’d come across. Ineveitably a sturdy exo shell and venomous pincers wont be enough to harmlessly survive the mercilous enviroment and everythinng else “dwelling’ throughout, but for every threat on the other side of survival comes another tool towards it. Be it serrated claws and sturdy bones or resourceful pelts, skin and scaled hydes. Covering fleshwound after scar after fleshwound after laceration after evisceration and scars. Holy moly did it feel like an eternity since I started on this guy, but atlast here it is. Made a few provisional demo animations. Hope you like what you see and to hear what you think. A concept that occured to me real suddenly one day, that i could vaguely see in my mind and I fleshed out as I went along while trying to preserve spider, bird and harpy traits or something. Thats where “weaver” came from, to refer to the weaving of webs. But if I knew vfx and stuff alike i wouldve iuncluded some kind of web shooting animation. Also found out sometime aftwerwards that a weaver is also a real bird, but not too resembling in my opionion. Hello everyone, This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
