Fake exhibition of sythesized work mimicing the figurative painters: Neo Rauch, Julio Larraz, Luc Tuymans and Dana Shutz. All artworks of the 4 painters represented are fake — synthesized by the AI, Stable-Diffusion, on my laptop, as an experiment to explore the AI’s capabilities. The fake Stable-Diffusion work did have some affinities to the work of the 4 painters, and so I built a fake, rather large art gallery to show-off some of these AI-generated results. Of the 4 painters, Stable-Diffusion seemed to have tighter affinity to Rauch, Larraz and Tuymans, though results seemed to only harken the styles of the painters from around 2006. Training data is obviously bound to dated corpora, and so I was limited in my choice of painters for the show. The bathroom is at the back of the left-hand stairwell. Rauch occupies the top floor. Larraz is exhibited in the main section. Tuymans is at right of entrance and Schutz at left of entrance. A regal knight who belongs to the Band of the Peacock. They are proud, and like to stand out on the battlefield and whilst sparring. All in the band are left handed, adding exclusivity to their band, and all fight with two-handed weapons. The Band are often paid to fight for others, and due to their popularity, they are wealthy men. This 3D data of Kokura Castle was made using photogrammetry. This is Avatta’s first attempt in using drones to make high quality 3D architectural scan. We have photographed over 1500 images from all directions and the data was processed using Agisoft Photoscan. Kokura Castle of Kitakyushu, Japan was built by Hosokawa Tadaoki in 1602. It was the property of the Ogasawara clan (from Harima) between 1632 and 1860. The castle was burnt down in 1866 in the war between the Kokura and Chōshū clans. Mori Ogai was based at the castle at the turn of the 19th-20th century when it was a military base. The keep was reconstructed in 1959, and the castle was fully restored in 1990. The Matsumoto Seicho museum and castle garden were opened in 1998. One of a couple of coils of worn continuous track, from some variant of the US Sherman tank. The earliest continuous track was patented in 1846 as an aid for steam powered traction engines, and was used on gun carriages in the Crimean War. The propulsion system gained popularity at the turn of the century, particularly under the Caterpiller Tractor Company, and was swiftly adopted by armoured fighting vehicles alongside the invention of the tank in the First World War. Based on photographs, I believe this section to be from a late model Sherman, possibly even the M-50 ‘Super’ Sherman variant used by Israel from the 1950’s. The split-section, steel exterior plates don’t seem to appear on earlier models or in European theatres, but let me know if you’re a tank nerd and I’ve got that wrong. This was a fun project to make, not only because of the classic gaming console but also the early 80’s TV. Admittedly, I never actually owned an Atari 2600, but my dear grandma had a TV like this for many years when I was a kid, so it’s sentimental to me. There are many textures included, but don’t let it scare you too much; they’re all appropriately labelled and easy to apply. A lot of them are 128x128 uniform color textures, which shouldn’t add much of an extra workload to your scene, and some materials share the larger textures as well. There are several cartridge materials included, and you can easily change the TV screen texture, so you could get really creative with what game is playing in your scene! Or you could have it not playing a game and just put your own video on there or something, anything you’d like! Photogrammetry Scan of an original specimen from Fossilogic (casting rights holder), in Pleasant Grove Utah. Scanned using a Nikon D850 with a 35mm prime and an Xrite color chart. Images were processed using Adobe Lightroom and calibrated to the color chart in ADOBE RGB colorspace. Scan was completed in Epic Games Reality Capture. Scan geometry was processed in Autodesk 3ds Max using the retopology modifier to get to an accurate polycount to be subdivided to as close to 100millon polys as possible. Max was also used to unwrap into UVW layouts. The resulting retopoed and UVw’d geo was re-imported into reality capture and base color info was reprojected. The resulting geometry was imported into Maxon Zbrush for clean-up and minor restoration. Mesh Maps were baked in Marmoset Toolbag 4. A motorcycle of the Warhammer 40k Universe. This one is painted with the colors and emblems of the “White Scars” Space Marine Chapter. The White Scars are known for their “need for speed”, and were one of the legions that was defending the Imperial Capital in the siege of Terra during the Horus Heresy. Since it’s based on a toy model, it didn’t have much details on some parts… So i look for some references and modeled some things “a bit” different: the tires, the steering handles, the dashboard, the seat and an actual motorcycle engine (with some modifications to fit it into the model dimentions, nothing too fancy though). As everyone should know by now, the space marines, white scars, warhammer 40k universe images and emblems are the property of Games Workshop. I was thinking of modeling also a Space Marine to pilot the thing but that is another work (i’m doing it right now).
