Hey guys. After the success of my Ghostbusters Ecto 1 and Firehouse exterior scene, I decided to challenge myself with the interior. Using online reference of Engine 23’s interior, movie screen grabs and floor plans, I managed to get something that resembles the layout. The fun part was adding the details that made it look like a fully established business. Things to look for: Janine’s infamous Whale Paperweight, Her copy of People Magazine, the Rainbow Dec 100 computer Egon installed, the guys lockers and the pole Ray slid down. Peter’s office has a few Easter Eggs too. Heres a breakdown of the model. Model of the iconic slot hilt sabre. With 80cm length, the blade features a fearsome broad fuller and very aggressive distal taper(reduction in thickness). It tapers from 8mm at the base to half of that in less than 1/3 to the tip. The top 1/3 area are less than 2mm, giving the sword excellent handling despite its width. Such officer’s sword would usually have its grip wrapped in fish skin and metal wires. A metal sheet is also present to cover the back of the grip for durability, though it can sometimes be slippery. Traditionally, the guard was cast in brass, hence the gold look. Moszna Castle is a beautiful example of eclectic architecture located in the small village of Moszna in southwestern Poland. It was built in the 18th century, although traces of older cellars have been discovered in the gardens.
