“The Atalan Classic Series: Snub Class. Now just a relic of bygone days and championships lost to the ages. She’s reliable as hell though, pretty sure this one is held together by rust and a little T.L.C.” I think its safe to say that she’s finally done. Began as an asset for a group project which never got off the drawing board. The idea was for a racing vehicle which moves at high speeds over water. I looked at retro and classic car and plane designs to get the initial concept done, and the design process snowballed into what you see here. Specular and Normals are a little rushed but they do the job. Geometry created in 3DS Max. Textures were hand painted in Photoshop with a couple of photo textures blended on top. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 69250 polygons.

Following a Japanese theme, I created a pond featuring a bamboo spout with a bowl, a water lantern, lily pads and waterlilies. The bamboo spout and bowl references the Tsukubai and Shishi-Odoshi fountains commonly found in Japanese gardens while the floating lantern is inspired by Tōrō Nagashi, a Japanese ceremony where paper lanterns are released into the river. This environmental prop was inspired by Inès “Ourka” Rotzinger’s concept art for Amber Isle (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/ZeBWom). The way they draw lily pads is really cute and I love the colours of the water, the foam streaks and the fun foam bubbles so I tried to preserve these traits in the texture and the 3D model. Hello everyone, This was such a cool project to work on. I made this project based on the concept art from Kyle Corneliushttps://www.artstation.com/artwork/5l2Kz. Everything has a first time well this project was a lot of first times. This is my first time working in zbrush I always wanted to learn how to sculpt and work it down to a useable game ready creature. After making the high poly in zbrush I went to Maya for the retopo this was also a first for me so learned to work with the quad draw tool. When the low poly was done I uv unwrapped in Maya and textured in substance painter. I went back to zbrush for the posing.
