The road which connects Fukushima city, Fukushima prefecture to Yonezawa city, Yamagata prefecture was opened in 1881(明治14年) and named after “Banseitairo Road” by the Emperor Meiji.Futatsugoya Tunnel is one of the two tunnels which are located in Banseitairo Road. It was taken expansion work to motor vehicles can go through in 1934(昭和9年). In 1966(昭和41年), an another tunnel was opened at new place to they can go through if it has heavy snow and Banseitairo Road became the “Abandoned road” after finished its role.

In Kameoka city near Kyoto the castle is not there anymore but the walls remains. In fact they have been rebuilt to restore some of the former beauty of this location.
I captured 3 walls sections, the interesting thing here is the technique used to build the wall. Instead of well joined and polished stones here huge rocks are pilled up and smaller rocks fill the space between. It was suposedly designed to allow to hear soldiers cllimbing the wall as they would eventally let a small rock fall.
This third wall is a low wall before a gate to enter the castle ground. This wall as fewer and big stones taht fit well together. Some stomes are recycled from other building as testify the carving tah tcan be seen in many stomes used in this castle. Oda Nobunaga ordered this Castle contruction as a base for the invasion of Tanba region.
