Fake exhibition of sythesized work mimicing the figurative painters: Neo Rauch, Julio Larraz, Luc Tuymans and Dana Shutz. All artworks of the 4 painters represented are fake — synthesized by the AI, Stable-Diffusion, on my laptop, as an experiment to explore the AI’s capabilities.
The fake Stable-Diffusion work did have some affinities to the work of the 4 painters, and so I built a fake, rather large art gallery to show-off some of these AI-generated results.
Of the 4 painters, Stable-Diffusion seemed to have tighter affinity to Rauch, Larraz and Tuymans, though results seemed to only harken the styles of the painters from around 2006. Training data is obviously bound to dated corpora, and so I was limited in my choice of painters for the show.
The bathroom is at the back of the left-hand stairwell. Rauch occupies the top floor. Larraz is exhibited in the main section. Tuymans is at right of entrance and Schutz at left of entrance.
