This is a 3D model is from a laser scanning survey of the remains of a slave house chimney (Chimney 3) from the Stafford Plantation on Cumberland Island National Seashore. The Chimneys are a series of 26 hearth and brick remains in three parallel rows that are found nearby the main Stafford plantation house. The site is undergoing restoration treatments and our 3D survey was performed prior to that work, digitally documenting and preserving the site for archival purposes. Our 3D work is additionally assistive with preservation planning and supportive of management needs, and can be utilized for structural repair documentation, monitoring, and condition assessment. Using these models, 3D prints can also be made to examine construction techniques in tactile ways. Current efforts to conserve the Wazir Khan Mosque include utilization of advanced technology to aid documentation, planning, and monitoring. Beginning at the Wazir Khan Mosque, CyArk staff trained LUMS students in techniques of field scanning, data processing, and 3D modeling. The resulting documentation precisely measures current conditions – the extent of the loss of frescos, cracking of walls, and tilting of minarets – providing a baseline against which changes in conditions can be monitored and plans for preservation or restoration can be made. Alūksne Castle (Latvian: Marienburgas pils, Alūksnes pils; Swedish: Marienburg; German: Marienburg) is a castle of Teutonic Knights in current Alūksne, North-Eastern Latvia. The castle was built in 1342 on the largest of the islands in the Lake Alūksne and called Marienburg. The first castle was constructed by the Landmeister Burkhard von Dreileben. It was part of a major reinforcement of the Eastern border of Livonia. The strength of the castle was repeatedly proven by repelling a number of attacks in the 16th century. After the fall of the Old Livonia, the castle remained habitable. It was finally destroyed in 1702 in the Great Northern War by its Swedish garrison to avoid falling in the hands of Russians. Currently on museum display at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida, this piece originally was located above the ravelin structure - a smaller fortification that provided a first line of defense at the entrance of the fort. This Coat of Arms was removed in 1957 to conserve the piece, and has been on display allowing visitors to the National Park to see it up-close. Today, a replica has been placed where the original Coat of Arms was found. As part of our comprehensive 3D survey, we used structured light scanning and imaging to document both the replica and the original piece. Our data is being used for digital archival preservation, conservation, additional replica creation, and for 3D modeling and public engagement. Our Sketchfab design uses an historic image of the ravelin structure from 1895, showing the Coat of Arms as it was, before its removal. Yaroslav the Wise, born in 978 and died on 20 February 1054 in Kyiv, was the Grand Prince of Kyiv from 1019. He was the son of Grand Prince Volodymyr the Great and Princess Rohnida of Polatsk, half-brother to Sviatopolk I, Mstyslav Volodymyrovych, and Saints Borys and Hlib, and father to seven princes, including Iziaslav Yaroslavych, Sviatoslav II Yaroslavych, and Vsevolod Yaroslavych. This modified lantern wall clock converted to a clockwork mechanism, exhibits an arched dial with detailed scrollwork. It has the name James Michell of London on its face. The clock is part of the collection from the Moseley Homestead, a National Register of Historic Places site in Brandon, Florida. The 1886 homestead was originally owned by Charles Scott Moseley and his wife Julia Daniels Moseley and later their descendants. Charles Scott Moseley was an inventor and watchmaker, including time as a watchmaker with the Elgin plant in Illinois, where he had a 40-year career as First Superintendent.
