Upper portion of a limestone statue of Thutmose III from Deir el-Bahri displayed in the Cairo Museum. The torso of the statue without the face was found in the early 20th century and now is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The face was found during excavations at Deir el-Bahri by the Polish Expedition in the 1960s and is in the Cairo Museum collections. Casts were made of each poriton of the statue and exchanged between the institutions. Today the original face and cast of the torso can be seen in Cairo and the original torso and cast of the face can be seen in New York. Created from 113 images (Canon EOS Rebel T7i) using Metashape 1.7.5. Access to the back of the statue was difficult and repairs to the reconstructed mesh were made in Blender 2.92. Galleys were used in Russia from Peter the Great onwards. The heritage of all galleys, Russian and Swedish, can be found on the Mediterranean. By 1790 this ship type was becoming obsolete. While it was large, the galley had difficulty navigating the open seas and could only carry a few guns in the bow and stern. It was essentially a carry-over from an earlier era of close combat on the seas. Some 80+ of these galleys were built in the 18th century in Russia. But after this war they were increasingly supplanted by smaller gun sloops of the Swedish type.
