The Chimneys are a series of 26 hearth and brick remains in three parallel rows that are found nearby the main Stafford plantation house. The site is undergoing restoration treatments and our 3D survey was performed prior to that work, digitally documenting and preserving the site for archival purposes. Our 3D work is additionally assistive with preservation planning and supportive of management needs, and can be utilized for structural repair documentation, monitoring, and condition assessment. Using these models, 3D prints can also be made to examine construction techniques in tactile ways. The resultant 3D models also serve as educational and outreach tools, and promote the importance of these significant and imperiled touchstones to the past 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 457992 polygons.

This structure is part of Launch Complex 26 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Brevard County, Florida. This historic complex has served two primary functions – as a launch facility and as a museum. The LC-26 site was associated with the Redstone research and development program and later the Jupiter program. Additionally, the first American satellite, Explorer I, was famously launched from LC-26 on January 31, 1958. The site was a dual-pad, single blockhouse complex constructed in 1957, and was also used for several launch missions involving primates that preceded human space exploration missions. The complex is a significant cultural resource listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Modeled from terrestrial laser scanning data as part of our complex-wide site survey 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 193064 polygons.
