Based on an universal airframe concept, the Heavy VTOL gunship, commonly nicknamed Luftpanzer, is the configuration designed specifically to carry out ground attack against fortifications, infrustractures, and in the case of orbital combat operation, against capital ships. With a crew of 2 and an onboard small living quarter providing reasonable human comfort, this gunship is capable of prolonged cruise without the need of carriers, thus massivly reducing the logistic need for a combat fleet without sacrifising on firepower. Thanks to its root in the universal airframe concept, the aircraft can be easily converted to cargo ship or bomber by replacing the railgun module. It is even possible to convert this aircraft into a small carrier with either parasite fighters or attack drones. It also features a cargo bay (capable of even fitting a fighter escort ship) on its underside, with two giant doors that can be animated to open/close!
