The Katana Golf Backpack object came with concept art of a similar katana stabbing through a bag. The aim of this bag was to pad out the brightly coloured objects in the game with some duller colours, I think it did that well, however after working on a large number of objects to re-create the fortnite style, I didn’t use any techniques that I found (such as duplicating the AO layer to give a hash shadow on the base colour texture) as this was made earlier on in production when I was trying to find my feet with the style. In a month I taught her the basics of modeling, retopology and texturing. Synth (the elderly character) instead was born in parallel while explaining everything to her. The basic idea was to create non-speaking characters and to be able to characterize them with actions, lights and shots. The Unreal sequencer was the best tool to do this. Synth and Kiddo are awakeners and travel from world to awaken gods of musical genres in seemingly neutral worlds. In this case the awakened god is that of New Retro Wave music. All models were made through my classic workflow: 1. Zbrush for the highpoly 2. Maya Retopology + UV + Rigging 3. Substance Painter 4. Maya for animation 5. Nested coffins of the Lady Iawttayesheret from the Charlotte Lichirie Collection of Egyptian Art, Michael C. Carlos Museum, Emory University, Atlanta, GA (acc. no. 1999.1.8,a-d). This model shows the inner and outer coffins of the Lady Iawttayesheret who was a “great follower of the Diviine Adoratrice of Amun.” She was the daughter of Padikhnum and Tadiaset. She lived during Egypt’s Dynasty 25 (ca. 760-656 B.C.) in the ancient city of Thebes (Luxor) Egypt. The bottom of the outer coffin, interior of outer coffin, and the interior and foot of the outer coffin lid were not available for scanning and have been false textured here. Created from 454 photographs (165 LG Volt Mobile Phone, and 289 EOS Rebel T5i) using Metashape 1.5.1. The inner coffin and outer coffin base were photographed in November 2015 and the lid of the outer coffin was photographed in May 2019. All were photographed through plexiglass cases in the museum galleries.
