Model of the iconic slot hilt sabre. With 80cm length, the blade features a fearsome broad fuller and very aggressive distal taper(reduction in thickness). It tapers from 8mm at the base to half of that in less than 1/3 to the tip. The top 1/3 area are less than 2mm, giving the sword excellent handling despite its width. Such officer’s sword would usually have its grip wrapped in fish skin and metal wires. A metal sheet is also present to cover the back of the grip for durability, though it can sometimes be slippery. Traditionally, the guard was cast in brass, hence the gold look. I needed new houses to the scene / level I’m developing in unreal I’ve seen some concept art online that was basically a multi-stage inn that was made out of a ship with the bottom of the ship being the top of the inn. I took that idea and made a different house. I didn’t really like that, it’s probably the proportions that I still can’t get right, so I made 2 variants and added giant oars, imagined a sotory of 2 old pirates who left stranded after the rest of their crew died and they decided to cut everything they have in half that’s how they made their houses from the 2 halves of the boat, and became fishermen for the nearby town. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 368624 polygons.

7 years ago, I scanned this Nanotyrannus : https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/nanotyrannus-lancensis-young-t-rex-7b0967fa27674d959647868686b6717b . However, the model was far from perfect. I figured I would scan it again for the Agisoft Nature Challenge. This time, I managed to create a watertight model that should be 3D printable. I also set the number of polygons to 300k on purpose : half the weight of the original model, but with more details ! This is a cast of the real fossil of a Nanotyrannus Lancensis found in Gilmore, Montana, in the Hell Creek formation, in 1946. It is about 65 million years old. Scientists used to think Nanotyrannus Lancensis was a species distinct from the famous T-Rex, but recent discoveries tend to show that a nanotyrannus is actually a young T-Rex. Another weapon I made for an unofficial mod called Raising the Bar Redux for Half-Life 2 game. This weapon is based on the original concept for a missile launcher from the beta of the game. The design is changed and altered in some places. This is all that remains of SS Rifle, one of the earliest surviving examples of a small pre-fabricated screw steamer in the British Isles. Rifle was purchased by the Locheil Estate in the 1860s for use on Loch Arkaig, ferrying goods, passengers and mail between the isolated dwellings around the loch. As well as being a practical vessel, Rifle was also used for pleasure, often carrying shooting parties. The boat was laid-up in the 1930s, and whilst being scrapped, sank and lay buried until removed by the army after becoming a hazard to wartime vessels working from the pier. Rifle was blasted away from the pier, losing the bow in the process. Despite being submerged for over half a century, it was raised in 1990. Although in a very fragile condition, Rifle’s propeller is a well-preserved example of an early design. The model was created as a part of ‘Scanning The Horizon’ 3D digitisation project. A WWII radar station on Ward Hill, Fair Isle, it was a Coast Defence U-boat (C.D.U.) station which was the naval version of the R.A.F.’s Chain Home Low (C.H.L.) radar. Radar was used here to track shipping and surfaced submarines and at longer distances aircraft. Something that makes this site unusual is that parts of the antennas and their turntables still survive here. After the war the site was partially dismantled then some buildings/structures blown up with explosives. Damage to the floors indicate where some of the charges were set. Fair Isle is situated about half way between the Orkney Isles and the Shetland Isles off the north coast of Scotland.
