It’s almost a year ago that I uploaded my first ship model, the IJN Fubuki, so I decided to make one of her more advanced sister ships: The IJN Ayanami. The Ayanami was build for the Imperial Japanese Navy and when introduced into service she was one of the most powerful destroyer in the world. She sustained critical damage after being shelled by the USS Washington during the second phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal (15 November 1942) and was later scuttled by IJN Uranami. The St. Johns Wreck, believed to be that of the 1564 galleon Santa Clara, carried at least 130 olive jars; most broke when the ship wrecked – we only know the number by tallying the surviving rims. This rim has an outside diameter of 9.2 cm, and stands 4 cm tall. The Cartel Faction faced a need to strike back at the US and South American navy’s control of shipping lanes and began to arm its fleet of smuggling boats for war. The result is a low profile missile boat that is very hard to detect and can sneak close to larger captial ships and strike with little warning. This example uses a fiberglass body with steel supports, a survilance radar and vent are mounted above the crew comparment. This is all that remains of SS Rifle, one of the earliest surviving examples of a small pre-fabricated screw steamer in the British Isles. Rifle was purchased by the Locheil Estate in the 1860s for use on Loch Arkaig, ferrying goods, passengers and mail between the isolated dwellings around the loch. As well as being a practical vessel, Rifle was also used for pleasure, often carrying shooting parties. The boat was laid-up in the 1930s, and whilst being scrapped, sank and lay buried until removed by the army after becoming a hazard to wartime vessels working from the pier. Rifle was blasted away from the pier, losing the bow in the process. Despite being submerged for over half a century, it was raised in 1990. Although in a very fragile condition, Rifle’s propeller is a well-preserved example of an early design. The model was created as a part of ‘Scanning The Horizon’ 3D digitisation project. The Skuldelev ships are a group of five well preserved 11th century ships from the Viking period, found in the Roskilde Fjord in Denmark near the town of Skuldelev. Skuldelev 1 was a large ocean going ship, a trading vessel probably known as a Knarr. From analyzing the wood of the ship archaeologists were able to determine the ship had been built on the west coast of Norway around the 1030’s CE, and so ended it’s life far from where it was built. At some point in its life it had suffered massive damage which left it with a warped keel, and which necessitated significant reconstruction of the hull. This digital recreation is based on the ‘Ottar’, a full scale reconstruction made by the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum. The provision of a tent over the hold is hypothetical. A low poly Zeta-class shuttle, as seen in Rogue One and Jedi: Fallen Order! My most detailed texture yet. This model is probably about 85% accurate, although I’ve gone for a more standard imperial gray to match the Lambda shuttle, rather than the black and orange we first saw in Rogue One. Fits in really well with the rest of the Empire’s fleet. The wings and laser cannon turrets are all separate objects with the correct pivot points to rotate into flight mode. A few areas are very slightly simplified to keep the polycount low, and everything uses the same 2048x2048 textures. It also has a rough cockpit interior just with some glowing lights to add a bit of depth, but if you want to save performance you can delete it and make the windows opaque. Enjoy! Hello people, I have built a battleship/carrier here that comes from my own imagination but also borrows ideas from ships from the Stargate universe. It is completely rigged.\n\nIt has 8 heavy cannons and 14 medium cannons (all medium cannons have a tracker for easier use of the rig, as well as a collection tracker for 5 cannons on each site so that they can be used synchronously to track a target), plus a heavy rocket launcher.\n\nIt has 4 main engines for sub-light speeds. in the lower middle an auxiliary engine. The bridge is in the upper rear part. Shortly behind it is the reactor and next to it the 8 shield generators. The hyperdrive is connected directly to the reactor.
