It utilizes an original workflow of mine where I use Gravity Sketches volume brush to create convex shapes that can easily be converted into clean geometry with booleans. Each material can inherently share the same gradient texture as well, but to make it presentable in Sketchfab I have baked a unique color into each material’s gradient. This model also works extremely well with decimation, and can still retain it’s form when decimated by 99%. COP 21 is inspired by the fictional character Eva from the pixar movie Wall-E. My artistic take on the challenge was to present a visual representation of the effects of climate change. Similar to the message conveyed in Wall-E my model expresses the juxtaposition of despair and hope for a ecologically sound future. The damage on the model symbolizes the negative impact on Earth but still holds hope in the form of the pod accepting the plant.
