Though it ended up a bit too polygon-heavy, I am still happy how this turned out. My main difficulty was to render out curvature maps for the rust and scratch effects in Substance painter, but Xnormal does a good enough job after some tweaking around in Substance Painter.
This is a model based off of Joe Petagno’s cover art for the 1986 album “Orgasmatron” by Motörhead. Petagno is the original artist behind Motörheads famous boar-like figurehead and the guy behind their album art. He has also created Led Zeppelins famous Icarus character and artwork for many other bands of different genres, even covers for sci-fi books.

It is one of my favorite album covers, and it captures what rock and metal should be, a fast and heavy rock and roll train coming out the speakers and through your brain. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 185795 polygons.

Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca citadel located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru on a 2,430-meter (7,970 ft) mountain ridge. Often referred to as the “Lost City of the Incas”, it is the most familiar icon of the Inca Empire. It is located in the Machupicchu District within Urubamba Province above the Sacred Valley, which is 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Cusco. The Urubamba River flows past it, cutting through the Cordillera and creating a canyon with a tropical mountain climate.
For most speakers of English or Spanish, the first ‘c’ in Picchu is silent. In English, the name is pronounced /ˌmɑːtʃuː ˈpiːtʃuː/ or /ˌmætʃuː ˈpiːktʃuː/, in Spanish as [ˈmatʃu ˈpitʃu] or [ˈmatʃu ˈpiktʃu], and in Quechua (Machu Pikchu) as [ˈmatʃʊ ˈpɪktʃʊ].
The Inca civilization had no written language and no European visited the site until the 19th century, so far as is known, so there are no written records of the site while it was in use…

A little remake of my previous project from 2003, the DJ5000. I wanted to see how far I’d come with the tools and my personal skills since then, and I think the results speak for themselves!
Of course it helps that this is 44k triangles and utilizes several textures with the average size being 2048x2048, where the original from 2003 had only 445 triangles and a single 512x512 texture! So roughly this is about 100x more detailed than the original project! How far technology has come, and how far will it go further still.
Real world scale. Also included is a clean soda can texture set (no condensation drops), and a mask for the record to help you make your own labels, a Mixer emissive texture with all of the level lights lit up, and a gradient mask for the level lights so you drive them with material/code magic. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 47223 polygons.

This spoon carved of wood with a teardrop shaped bowl is made by the Aweer, also known as the Boni, people of Somalia.
The Aweer lives in both Southern Somalia and Eastern Kenya. They traditionally practice hunting and gathering. Hunting for food involved hunting giraffes, antelopes, and dik-dik (a small animal in the antelope family living in Eastern Africa). The Aweer language is considered an endangered language with approximately 200 known speakers.
International Driller Charles Wallen brought back the spoon from Somaliland in the early 20th Century. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 49974 polygons.
