This little project of mine aimed at introducing a new customizable weapon in Fallout 4. The idea would’ve been to take a revolver body and outfit it with a custom barrel to shoot 12ga slugs. Everything was made to fit into the “homemade” and post-apocalyptic design in mind, from the oil filter suppressor to the crutch stock or the aluminium can muzzle brake. This was my first project on Substance Painter. I’m pretty happy with the result on IRay. Problem is I still have trouble rendering correctly in another engine, like Mental Ray. Any tips and advices will be welcome. Since I have no experience on Fallout 4 creation kit (only used FO3’s and FNV’s), it is unlikely this weapon will be included in the game. This pack is a fully PBR driven part of my FROST asset pack. It contains the following assets: 3 Textured Frost Pools Each asset comes with 4K resolution Albedo, Glossiness, Roughness, Normal, Emission, Specular Color, Specular Level, AO and Height Maps. The Height Maps can be used in game or rendering engines to blend other textures with the asset. The textures were atlased onto a single texture sheet. All of the assets are based on manually created high poly sculpts and had their textures specifically created for them. They were optimized for use in realtime game engines. As PBR assets they are recommended for desktop but the polycount will have no problem running on mobile as well and can still be further reduced if necessary. Scan of replica house from 12. century in outdoor museum Řepora, Prague. Have no idea, what was purpose of this house, i call it “kuří nožky”, which means “chicken legs” in czech… you know, like in fairy tales :). It’s almost RAW scan, only minimal manual repairs. I always have problem with UV mapping these dirty-topology models, so it it has some problems with overlapping UVs. Need to do retopoly and proper UV mapping. A random lowPoly character i’ve modeled from scratch just to practice. There was no planning and no sketch, you can tell by the final result. I now see several problems with it: long ass arms, bad composition for the oufit, a generalized indecision between realistic or cartoonish proportions… But anyway, the point was to warm up the zbrush, maya and substance painter.
