It was especially hard to capture all the fine structutes without having them bonded together (in a 3D-Mesh meaning). For this 3D scan 1480 images from a Sony Alpha 7R4 were used. The raw mesh has 137 million polygons and 8000x8000 textures (Diffuse, Normal, Occlusion). The shown model has 500k Polygons and 4K Textures and was not altered or cleaned (except lowering the resolution). The provenance of this coffin is uncertain, but experts believe it to have been produced at el-Hibeh in Middle Egypt, sometime between 664 and 330 BCE. The names on the coffin are a little bit difficult to translate because of the way the glyphs are stacked together, and because the filiation of the deceased is expressed as it would be in Demotic instead of Middle Egyptian. In fact, there is a final glyph on the name of the coffin’s owner that experts are still trying to figure out, so the rendering of her name as Tadinanefer is provisional. Her father’s name is likely Pakhered. Her mother is Ireteru, which is a common name for men and women during the Saite period and later. None of them have any titles. The present fountain was built to replace the original fountain that was destroyed in 1376 by the command of Pope Urbano V. This was the result of an incident that occurred involving this fountain and the papal party returning from Avignon. A local woman objected when a servant of one of the cardinals decided to wash his dog in the fountain thereby polluting the drinkable water. A fight ensued during which the woman was killed and the pope subsequently punished the locals by destroying their fountain. The present fountain of Pianoscarano was built in 1376 replacing the original one.
