A couple of weeks ago I finished Cyberpunk 2077 and all I can say is that it is one of the best games I’ve ever played (the main story and Phantom Liberty are just breathtaking…). So, I decided to model a prototype car. This is a retro-future muscle car. I took inspiration from a 70’s Challenger, and I made some changes such as widebody, custom spoiler, new lights and so on. This project started as a small desire to model something medeval. I started on the catapalt, and from there wanted to animate it. However i thought it would be fun to have a looping animation. This then spawned the idea to create a character who was determined to siege this tower after after he formed a sort of rivalry with the owner of the tower. I ended up adding a lot of addition props to the scene that i hadnt originally accounted for. I also removed a character from the tower, who i put a bit of time and work into, but he just didnt fit into the scene well enough (i may do a seperate/individual upload of that character). This was my first animation (in several years) of my own character, modeled and rigged from scratch. Im not really an animator, but i thought it would be a fun challenge to add in a character and fully animate them. Modeling and animation was completed in Maya and Zbrush. The school objective was to create a high quality game ready model in a month (the month being shortened to around 3 weeks due to Christmas break). For the model, I chose to create a medieval knight. The Green Knight, low poly was made in Maya, and high poly was made in zBrush. High res was sculpted in 2 days and low res was finished in around 2 days. The game res model was made using the quad draw tool in Maya and UVs were also cut in the software. When creating the low res, I also split some parts off in order to allow for customization as if the model had different armor sets. The textures were made in 4 days with the help of Substance Painter. I followed UE4 PBR guidelines and did every material as a procedural. Whats this? Never seen this car ever before? How did I get the blueprints for it? Well, it’s not a real car :D The 1959 Elwood Iroquois Brillare Special, the best thing to happen to the human race since sliced bread. The Elwood brand is an American luxury brand and entirely fictional. About a month ago I made a car in Automation, I was quite impressed with it and had wanted to make a fully detailed model basing it off of a car I had previously made in Automation, so I did that with this one. This car took pretty much a whole month to make, with some minor distubrances from other jobs and stuff. Very pleased with how it turned out. A 14th century farmer using a heavy plough pulled by oxen. I was approached by BuildersBrew to create a small diorama of a Medieval Farmer ploughing the fields, this was based off of some references provided and is to be used within the immersive mobile app for The Chester House Estate. Conservation with the overall tricount, texture space and alpha usage in the project was important to make sure the model could load well in the application, the texture for the character was 4k for this render however this was reduced to 2k in the application and the overall tricount came in at around 70k for the whole project.
