The Great Sphinx of Giza is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature with the head of a human, and the body of a lion. My entry for the GDC Beer Bust Challenge. “We want you to model your very own beer stein – the kind of thing a champion would drink from in a medieval bar.” So here it is, the most mythical tankard of all time : Steliskjalf. It is Odin’s tankard, which contains its mead, nectar of the gods, source of all living forms. This beverage can give life but also take it back. Legend says that no knight will be strong enough to brandish this tankard … Can you ? 100% handpainted in Blender. No bake, all lights / shadow are made in painting.
