Thank you all for 1000+ followers! Even though I’ve always been just doing my own thing and and upload rarely I do appreciate you all for being interested in my work! This time I wanted to take my skills to the test and make an entire enviroment in a pixely PS1 style. It was quite the undertaking but I feel that it turned out quite well! I was inspired by those early 3d/2d fighting games like “King Of Fighters Neowave” and such, therefore the stage is designed to only be viewed from one restricted angle. It is old Soviet headphones used in military aviation since the mid-1970s I want to express my gratitude to my mentor Dmitriy, who gave me a lot of valuable knowledge and tips. So this is a little experiment I’ve been contemplating on, inspired by the food assets in Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy 15. I took photographs of an actual meal I cooked, and spliced them in Substance Painter with a few models I specially built from reference. Nasi Lemak is a traditional Indonesian/Malaysian dish, consisting of spiced rice, coconut milk/shavings, a portion of meat (chicken) and fresh prawns, sometimes accompanied by a fried egg. The hardest part was translating the lighting from Substance Painter to Unreal Engine, and I have recreated it as best as I can here in sketchfab.
