The artwork consists of two 3 meter high baby heads representing the day and the night inspired by one of the artist’s baby granddaughters. I was told a really interesting fact about antique medical supplies from a teacher who taught me 3D art in the past. The reasons for a lot of medical supplies/furniture during this time being green is so that when blood sprays on this colour, it appears as black and is less confronting to patients. This is because mixing red and green together, the result achieved is a dark brownish-black colour.
The drawers and cupboards have functioning hinges and can be opened and closed to store all of your important medicines and supplies!

Recently I had the unique chance of seeing some of Ryden’s best work at an exhibit near me, and meeting the artist himself!
All of his work is really special and a very encouraging opportunity to have fun adapting his work to 3D.
This little model was made using Blender and Photoshop.
The sci-fi space suit was the coolest part to do, I especially love how all the shapes combine together.
The baby was rigged then posed last to fit the tummy in its fetal position.
I kept the textures high quality 4096, drew out some of the shadows staying true to the paintings style and colours.
