The values of body measurements were taken from a sizing table published in “The Cutters Practical Guide to the Cutting of Ladies’ Garments” (V.D.F. Vincent, 1890). As much as I love the renders I have produced for this project, ultimately they don’t show the scope of modelling work that I put into this project; because of that, I have chose to show about 90% of it in sections, so that you can have a thorough look at the work gone into it. My submission for the first Low Poly challenge of 2021! The combined lighthouse and windmill provides the Lighthouse Keeper with an excellent view of the surrounding reef, unfortunately it lighthouse no longer works as intended, meaning there have been a few… mishaps over the years. Though we are assured that it certainly wasn’t the Keeper’s intention! The crows nest provides a convenient way to cut across to get those fresh seagull eggs in the morning, and the diving platform provides a nice way to keep entertained through those hot summer days. There’s plenty to do and see - a fishing platform, covered to keep you protected from the midday sun, the odd wreck and legend has it there’s a treasure chest that’s been pulled on shore! For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories. While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago. Hello, this is my version of “Apylon, the Soul-Render” by Blizzard. I felt like this is such a cool sword, I wanted to give it a remake, and ended up making a sword quite different from Blizzards own style. For modelling I used. “3DS Max” (basemesh, retopo cleanup, and unwrap) & “ZBrush” for the highpoly. Texturing: xNormals (Baking), Substance Painter for most of the textures, and Photoshop for editing the Emission map a little. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 1804 polygons.
