Shipwreck named “Mr. Bud". This wreck is about 23m long and sits in 20m depth. It is located just SW of French Key, on the south shore of Roatan, in Honduras. This is an easy wreck dive because there is rarely current and the visibility ranges from good to very good. This is my first wreck project. JIM suit in the collection of the U.S. Naval Undersea Museum. An atmospheric diving suit (ADS) maintains surface pressure internally, protecting a diver from underwater pressure and eliminating the need for decompression. Treasure hunters developed early atmospheric diving suits to dive on shipwrecks. Commercial diving and oil drilling industries resurrected ADS in the 1960s. The JIM suit, named for test diver Jim Jarrett, was the first modern-day commercial ADS. It weighed 910 pounds and operated to 1,500 feet. The Navy began using ADS after testing the JIM suit in 1975.

Two French inventors, brothers Alphonse and Theodore Carmagnolle of Marseille, France, were granted a patent for an armored diving dress in 1882 (Filed 1878). The 22 joints were made of partial sections of concentric spheres formed to create a close fit.

USS Independence is a United States Navy light aircraft carrier, lead ship of her class and served during World War II.
Converted from the hull of a cruiser, she was built by the New York Shipbuilding Corporation and commissioned in January 1943. She took part in the attacks on Rabaul and Tarawa before being torpedoed by Japanese aircraft, necessitating repairs in San Francisco from January to July 1944.
