Burj Khalifa (Khalifa Tower) is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Known as the Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration the tower was renamed when Sheikh Khalifa, the ruler of the United Arab Emirates, granted monetary aid and funding when the original developers experienced financial problems. With 163 floors and a total height of 829.8m the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure and building in the world since its topping out in 2009, supplanting Taipei 101, the previous holder of that status. The building was design, by a team led by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings &amp; Merrill, is derived from Islamic architecture. As the tower rises from the flat desert base, there are 27 setbacks in a spiral pattern, decreasing the cross section of the tower as it rises and creating convenient outdoor terraces. This model was made for a college assignement in which a product had to be developed that could benefit people. I chose to create this arm as I belived it to be a feasable piece of technology that could realistically be developed in the near future. Initial ideas such as teleporters and hoover boots were considered to be too unrealsitic. Inspiration for this model came from YouTube and Instagram accounts featuring similar 3D work along with informative videos on the use and function of exisitng prosthetic arms. I wanted to create an arm that maintained the familair human form of an arm with full motions such as an adjustable elbow and five finger movements. Modelled and animated in Blender. Textured and baked in Substance Painter. Set to accurate scale. Ready for use in a game/animation scene. PBR textures (AO, Base, Metallic, Normal, Roughness, Emission). I’m proud to finally present a project I’ve been working on since 2015: A diorama scene depicting the Battle of Hoth from &ldquo;Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back&rdquo;. My ultimate goal was to present drama and emotion through percieved detail while limiting my polycount as much as possible; Putting weight and motion into each hand-posed character to mimic the feeling one might get looking at a table with wargaming miniatures. The concept was partially inspired by the Halo 3 “Believe” ad series. Workflow: No external textures were used, only vertex color painting and some baking for PBR compatability and reduced file size. Done 100% in Blender3D. What I Learned in the Process: Getting to extensively use vertex painting was one of the most fun aspects of this project. I also gained a lot of experience in basic character modelling, and until now, I had never used Blender&rsquo;s rigging system. Hello people, I have built a battleship/carrier here that comes from my own imagination but also borrows ideas from ships from the Stargate universe. It is completely rigged.\n\nIt has 8 heavy cannons and 14 medium cannons (all medium cannons have a tracker for easier use of the rig, as well as a collection tracker for 5 cannons on each site so that they can be used synchronously to track a target), plus a heavy rocket launcher.\n\nIt has 4 main engines for sub-light speeds. in the lower middle an auxiliary engine. The bridge is in the upper rear part. Shortly behind it is the reactor and next to it the 8 shield generators. The hyperdrive is connected directly to the reactor.
