In the Maghreb, mainly Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, the pastry was brought along many others by the Ottomans, and is prepared differently depending on the regions and cities
Dough Ingredients:
4 measures of flour (about 840 g)
250g unsalted clarified butter for the dough
250 g for puff pastry
3g salt
1 glass of water and orange blossom mixture (+ or – depending on the absorption of the flour, it goes from 20 to 25 cl)
1 kg almond
200 g walnuts
500g sugar
Pistachio flavor
Rose water
Ingredients for the stuffing:
1.5 kg ground almonds or 2.5 measures in a bowl
250g ground walnuts or 1/2 scoop
4 tbsp icing sugar or 1/2 measure
A few drops of hazelnut or bitter almond aroma.
50g melted butter

A one-day project. I’ve had this idea for a mournful hand clasping a rose for a while, but it never felt complete. Adding the pendant and chain I felt really added the needed story to really bring the piece together.
Hand model was from MakeHuman, all else I modelled in Blender. Textures were done in Substance Painter, then brought back into Blender 2.79 for rendering using the Principled BSDF for most surfaces, except the topaz crystal heart, which was done with my own custom absorption glass shader.
