I don’t know if it’s okay since i didn’t create the original character to begin with, but the overall redesign, posing and sculpting is mine, so i’m trying anyway ! I used Zbrush and maya for the sculpt/modeling part and substance painter for the baking. I also wanted too stay light on the details to keep the stylized design intact and not fall into hyperrealism. I’m working on a full textured version wich should be live in a couple of days. Instead of well joined and polished stones here huge rocks are pilled up and smaller rocks fill the space between. It was suposedly designed to allow to hear soldiers cllimbing the wall as they would eventally let a small rock fall. This third wall is a low wall before a gate to enter the castle ground. This wall as fewer and big stones taht fit well together. Some stomes are recycled from other building as testify the carving tah tcan be seen in many stomes used in this castle. Oda Nobunaga ordered this Castle contruction as a base for the invasion of Tanba region. The scene background is a take on a Pixar/Disney/Comic book theme with a simple ‘blocky’ style, I’m happy with how it turned out.
