I had the pleasure of attending Weston Reid’s CGMA class on Stylized Characters and learned a load. Especially how leveraging HP bakes and Painter passes can get the best start on a greyscale. After that was a color gradient pass in Painter and then a final paint over in 3DCoat.

It no longer works, and is just a decorative piece of street furniture now. It stands about 7 feet tall. A reminder that 19th Century England was not the blacks and greys we often see in photographs, but often as colourful and bright as high streets are today.
