Castillo de Alhama de Murcia is located in the Murica region of Spain. The castle is situated high on a steep hilltop and is of Islamic origin, built during the 12th and 13th centuries. Portions of the castle recently have been restored. Important structural features include a main tower, extensive wall fortification, and aljibes (cisterns). An aproximated model of the Cloister of the Kings , also known as Cloister of Processions, in Salamanca, Spain. I visited the city on my latest holidays and I was impressed with its arquitecture. After returning home, I felt the need to model some of the places I was in, and this is the first model.

First time doing architectural modeling with Blender, but I’m quite satisfied with the result. Fully done with Blender, from texturing to modeling, in the lapse of two days.

The Machine Gun Bunker of Alhama de Murcia is one of the best examples of 20th century military architecture in the Region of Murcia. Its design and construction is part of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), possibly built in 1937, forming part of the Ground Defense Plan of the naval base of Cartagena, strategic installation, from the military point of view, for the survival of the Republic.
The bunker is essentially built in concrete, a scarce and valuable material during the war that was only used in priority military installations. It conserves its two lateral entrances. Inside the bunker is divided into 3 spaces, two of them for the placement of heavy machine guns and the third to the storage of supplies and ammunition, also serving as a refuge.
This model was created from 567 images taken from a DJI Phantom 4 Pro Plus drone. The images were aligned, and the model was generated and textured in Reality Capture.

A low poly version of my 3D reconstruction of Barack Obama made a few months ago.
I decimated the model with Meshlab, and then played with the filter gallery of Photoshop to simplified the texture.
Still think it’s possible to do better if we apply an average color to each polygon.

Cuneiform is the world’s oldest known written language developed by the ancient Sumerians of Mesopotamia in the 4th millennium BC. The inscriptions were made with reed styluses to impress some 900 different logographic, syllabic and taxographic signs into moist clay tablets.
The text dates from the third dynasty of Ur (Ur III, c. 2100-2000 BC). The original text that was impressed on the tablet has, for the most part, been rendered illegible by a seal that was stamped over the surface.
The seal appears to have belonged to Shara-bazige, a scribe who was employed by Ur-Lisi, governor of Umma, a city-state in southern Mesopotamia and a key center during the Ur III period.
