Digital 3D reconstruction model of Cambuskenneth Abbey, Stirling, Scotland showing what the abbey and adjoining monastic buildings might have looked like in its rebuilt state following an attack by the army of King Richard II of England in 1383. The abbey has an accompanying freestanding bell tower or campanile which is unusual in Scotland. The tower is the only surviving part of the original church that remains standing to this day. It may have been spared its destruction by virtue of its use as a watchtower. The exterior masonry of the church may have appeared with a much brighter, lime-washed rendering than I have shown in this reconstruction. The masonry may also have featured decorative (painted) elements but such evidence for the exterior rendering of churches from before the reformation is hard to come by. The forms of the monastic buildings including the monks’ dormitory, refectory, cloister and chapterhouse are entirely speculative. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 488551 polygons.

La catedral de León fue diseñada sin claustro, pero finalmente se levantó entre finales del siglo xiii y principios del siglo xiv. Esta construcción cubrió la entrada norte que, desde entonces, quedó resguardada. Este claustro tiene una planta cuadrada de 30 metros de lado, posee seis intercolumnios por lado y 24 pilares en total, respondiendo a las proporciones establecidas en los claustros cistercienses. A su alrededor se agrupan diversas dependencias, entre ellas, el actual Museo Catedralicio.
En el centro del patio y por diversos lugares del claustro se conservan restos de los hastiales oeste y sur, que fueron desmontados durante las restauraciones del siglo xix por los arquitectos “purificadores” de la catedral. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 902598 polygons.
