🎨🐱 Captured moments in pixels and colors! Here is the result of my latest 3D modeling project inspired by the lovely illustration by Teressa Ong @chopsticksroad. I've turned the scene of the little boy and his cat into a three-dimensional artwork, aiming to capture the magic of watercolors and colored pencils. I used Maya for modeling and Substance Painter to bring the textures to life. This is my Final for Stylized Creation. We had to go from a chosen concept to a 3D model that’s game ready. Meaning we had to go through the whole workflow of making a stylized character. This involved making a blockout, sculpting the detail on that blockout. There after we had to retopo the highpoly mesh and thus make a low poly version of it. Then we had to unwrap, to eventually bake and texture the model.
