Thank you all for 1000+ followers! Even though I’ve always been just doing my own thing and and upload rarely I do appreciate you all for being interested in my work! This time I wanted to take my skills to the test and make an entire enviroment in a pixely PS1 style. It was quite the undertaking but I feel that it turned out quite well! I was inspired by those early 3d/2d fighting games like “King Of Fighters Neowave” and such, therefore the stage is designed to only be viewed from one restricted angle. My submission for a past Sketchwars theme: redo a classic… My thought is that something went astray with the Thunderbird between 1963 and 1967. My 3D sketch is a proposal for a different aesthetic bridge between the lovely 1963 body style and the somewhat radical departure of 1967. This took 4 hours to do, completely done in 3D while immersed in VR using Gravity Sketch. I had 2D reference pictures in the scene, but all the ideation of the forms was done in 3D. This is a non-traditional medium (skipping 2D) so I did a bunch of tweaking with post process effects to give it a more grainy textured paper/punchy colors/rendered look … minus the dabs of white gouache for highlights! (uploaded new model, corrected blackout surfaces, added rear bumper, tweaked some surfaces, added more details in spots) 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 496766 polygons.
