Shortly after he’d lost his eye Wotan noticed that he started to see the world in a different light. Any technical design looked like a flat blueprint. All flaws became glaringly obvious and Wotan immediately sought to correct them by adding new parts. The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of a corset dating to 1598. The corset was reconstructed by using the original block pattern presented in «Patterns of fashion. Part 3» by Janet Arnold. The pieces of the corset were sewn together and put on the body in Clo3D software (for further details see https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/IJCST-06-2019-0093/full/html). The 3D model was subsequently postprocessed in 3dsMax and textured in Substance Painter. Digital 3D reconstruction model of Cambuskenneth Abbey, Stirling, Scotland showing what the abbey and adjoining monastic buildings might have looked like in its rebuilt state following an attack by the army of King Richard II of England in 1383. The abbey has an accompanying freestanding bell tower or campanile which is unusual in Scotland. The tower is the only surviving part of the original church that remains standing to this day. It may have been spared its destruction by virtue of its use as a watchtower. The exterior masonry of the church may have appeared with a much brighter, lime-washed rendering than I have shown in this reconstruction. The masonry may also have featured decorative (painted) elements but such evidence for the exterior rendering of churches from before the reformation is hard to come by. The forms of the monastic buildings including the monks’ dormitory, refectory, cloister and chapterhouse are entirely speculative. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 488551 polygons.

Neonate pygmy right whale skeleton, collected in Victoria, Australia in 2019, approximately 185cm long. There are many fascinating aspects to the anatomy in this specimen - features characteristic of very young juveniles, morphology unique to whales, and injuries to the skeleton in this particular individual. Frozen specimen from the Museums Victoria mammalogy collection (NMV C40064), CT scanned (Siemens Somatom go.UP medical CT) at Monash Biomedical Imaging. Skeleton segmented from CT data using Mimics Research (v. 21.0), with meshes further processed and re-articulated in Blender 2.82. Due to perimortem damage to the skeleton, some elements were digitally repaired and mirrored for this visualisation. Scanning funded by Monash University.
