Digital 3D reconstruction model of Cambuskenneth Abbey, Stirling, Scotland showing what the abbey and adjoining monastic buildings might have looked like in its rebuilt state following an attack by the army of King Richard II of England in 1383. The abbey has an accompanying freestanding bell tower or campanile which is unusual in Scotland. The tower is the only surviving part of the original church that remains standing to this day. It may have been spared its destruction by virtue of its use as a watchtower. The exterior masonry of the church may have appeared with a much brighter, lime-washed rendering than I have shown in this reconstruction. The masonry may also have featured decorative (painted) elements but such evidence for the exterior rendering of churches from before the reformation is hard to come by. This Bronze cast created in 1927 by François Rudier is part of the monumental stairs of Marseille Saint Charles, in France.
The statue - called “La Chasse” (hunting) - is part of a group of six similar pieces representing the region’s products (other being fruits, flowers, fishing, cereal harvesting and grapevine harvesting).
Photogrammetry was done from 164 pictures (Pocophone F1) and processed with Colmap and OpenMVS, but I had to correct some of the upper parts of the sculpture in Blender as I did not have a way to get high angles when shooting.
