I created the base Delorean DMC as a starting point, I then went on to create the Back To The Future movie additions. It was a great project to work on as I was able to base my design on an actual real-world example of a Movie replica Car. After watching Ready Player One I wanted to ‘update’ the model to reflect the changes made in the movie as they looked pretty cool on the big screen, who doesn’t want K.I.T.T additions on a Delorean anyhow? I took the base DeLorean model and some of the BTTF additions I have already added and went all out on the detail, motivated by the amazing Ready Player one visuals. This house was once belonged to a timber baron in a small Northern California city. But after the logging industry went bust, it’s owner abandoned it to the elements. While not a complete ruin, this house will need a lot of TLC to bring it back to it’s former glory. This house was an experiment for me in tileable materials and seeing how far I could get using nothing but Photoshop for texture creation instead of my usual go to, Substance Painter. Most of these materials started out with a diffuse texture I either photographed myself or found on CGtextures.com. I then created the normal, spec, emmisive, etc in Photoshop. I think this technique works well if you’re going to be putting the model into an engine like Unity or Unreal. The textures hold up at very close and they can be used across many different buildings or props you may have in your game. The morphology of a flower, or its form and structure, can be considered in two parts: the vegetative part, consisting of non-reproductive structures such as petals; and the reproductive or ual parts. Together the calyx and corolla make up the non-reproductive part of the flower called the perianth, and in some cases may not be differentiated. Here’s a challenge I’m doing: modelling a Smash Bros character each day until Smash Ultimate releases. This project started October 2nd. A personal project I started in September that got pushed back due to university work. After finishing the game I knew I had to make something for my portfolio to show praise as I am one of the few people with the controversial opinion that the game is a masterpiece, ultimately becoming my favourite game I’ve ever played. I’m a huge fan of Joel and Ellie and I was very invested in the continuation of their story. I chose to model the guitar that Joel gives to Ellie as I felt that it was a physical embodiment of their relationship which is my favorite thing about the games. It’s also different to a lot of my other portfolio pieces as I tend to model weapons. I found this piece quite challenging as the sunburst pattern on the body of the guitar took some time to get right as I had not done too much hand painted texturing within Substance Painter but I am very happy with the results.
