Halloween is near and the haunted house is very active
This huanted house is all decorated for the season which is as strange sight since nobody has lived there for years! Well, except for the spirites that reside.
Halloween is my favorite time of year but I’ve never made a haunted house before. It was a difficult project because I’ve never really made a house before let alone one as complex as a victorian manor

Hello everyone,
This is my submission for the contest. I had a great time making it. I was going for a simple fun theme style scene. It was a nice expereince using Sketchfab. Although I have some more updates planned but hopefully after the contest I might look into this project for further refinements.

A little sad that that the lil mouse necromancer (Necro-mouser?) sadly didn’t make the final model, but I’ll definitely be updating this asset with him in!
Despite having a nightmare (aka losing all my texturing the night before!) I tried to work through it and still get my submission done in time, and I’m really pleased with the results! This was an area I wasn’t very confident in (sculpting especially) and so I’ve learnt tons this last week! I’m hoping to be more involved in future challenges as I enjoyed this one tons!

This house was once belonged to a timber baron in a small Northern California city. But after the logging industry went bust, it’s owner abandoned it to the elements. While not a complete ruin, this house will need a lot of TLC to bring it back to it’s former glory.
This house was an experiment for me in tileable materials and seeing how far I could get using nothing but Photoshop for texture creation instead of my usual go to, Substance Painter. Most of these materials started out with a diffuse texture I either photographed myself or found on CGtextures.com. I then created the normal, spec, emmisive, etc in Photoshop.
I think this technique works well if you’re going to be putting the model into an engine like Unity or Unreal. The textures hold up at very close and they can be used across many different buildings or props you may have in your game. Also being able to add secondary textures would allow for more variations like grunge.

Spent too much time modelling and rigging the skeleton and run out of time for some features i had in mind.

Edit: I finally completed after a month of working on my spare time.
I changed the house for a more cartoony style. Been playing with the shader node editor to give the house more personality with procedural textures.

bunratty Castle is a large 15th-century Irish tower house located in the centre of Bunratty village between Limerick and Ennis, near Shannon Town and its airport. the present structure, was built by the MacNamara family after around 1425. Its builder may have been one Maccon Sioda MacNamara, chieftain of Clann Cuilein (i.e. the MacNamaras). He died before the castle was completed which happened under his son Sean Finn (died in 1467). At around 1500, Bunratty Castle came into the hands of the O’Briens (or O’Brians), the most powerful clan in Munster and later Earls of Thomond.In 1956, the castle was purchased and restored by the 7th Viscount Gort, with assistance from the Office of Public Works.He reroofed the castle and saved it from ruin. The castle was opened to the public in 1960, sporting furniture, tapestries and works of art dating to around 1600.
