As the tower rises from the flat desert base, there are 27 setbacks in a spiral pattern, decreasing the cross section of the tower as it rises and creating convenient outdoor terraces. Treasure Planet is one of my favourite Disney films of all time and deserves more recognition. After watching the film again, I decided I’d make a 3D model of Jim’s Solar Board. Originally I had wanted to animate it so that it folded down but after modelling and texturing, I just had to show it off. Hello! This is my entry for the #StorybookChallenge. Since I was a kid I always dreamed of being an astronaut and I read a lot of books about space. For this challenge I teamed up with my girlfriend, who is a professional childern’s book illustrator, to recreate my desire to touch the stars. With this entry we wanted to pay homage to all the authors and illustrators that make all the childrens dream big with their books. All the modelling was based on her illustration, created on Maya and then hand painted on Substance Painter by me.
