She lost everything but the lights were always on, hoping that someone would spot them on the distance.” Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment. For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories. While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago. “The Atalan Classic Series: Snub Class. Now just a relic of bygone days and championships lost to the ages. She’s reliable as hell though, pretty sure this one is held together by rust and a little T.L.C.” I think its safe to say that she’s finally done. Began as an asset for a group project which never got off the drawing board. The idea was for a racing vehicle which moves at high speeds over water. I looked at retro and classic car and plane designs to get the initial concept done, and the design process snowballed into what you see here. Specular and Normals are a little rushed but they do the job. Geometry created in 3DS Max. My attempt at making something close to OceanGate Titan Submersible, which was tragically lost after it went missing on the 18th June 2023. The US Coast Guard’s findings explained that it had imploded and the crew had been instantly killed. The Titan was doomed from the beginning, with unusual practise during its construction and made with crude materials. The Titan was an experimental submersible, and was not officially certified.
