“The Atalan Classic Series: Snub Class. Now just a relic of bygone days and championships lost to the ages. She’s reliable as hell though, pretty sure this one is held together by rust and a little T.L.C.” I think its safe to say that she’s finally done. Began as an asset for a group project which never got off the drawing board. The idea was for a racing vehicle which moves at high speeds over water. I looked at retro and classic car and plane designs to get the initial concept done, and the design process snowballed into what you see here. Specular and Normals are a little rushed but they do the job. Geometry created in 3DS Max. Textures were hand painted in Photoshop with a couple of photo textures blended on top. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 69250 polygons.

The US Coast Guard’s findings explained that it had imploded and the crew had been instantly killed. The Titan was doomed from the beginning, with unusual practise during its construction and made with crude materials. The Titan was an experimental submersible, and was not officially certified. This is one of my first car models I built for a free independant racing game that allowed user generated content (racer.nl). It had a wonderful community that i do miss quite a bit. This was created before normal maps, high poly counts, and Substance Painter, but at least we had Photoshop… The Renault Alpine A110 is one of my favorite vintage automobiles of all time. I have only seen this car once in the flesh, and hope to again some day, it’s so beautiful to me. I have debated rebuilding this model as a high poly asset many times so I dug it out to see how it holds up in Sketchfab all these years later. See what you think and maybe download it for fun.
