This was a PvP Arena I made for my friend’s minecraft v1.11.2 server. Players could fly around with my custom command block jetpack mechanism in the arena (sneak ingame to activate). They could run accross the dragon skeleton and use the rib cages as cover. They could also hit the fireballs at the corner towers to send it flying to opponents.   The overall style is based on the ruins in the game Journey, with a combination of the stepwell of Chand Baori from India, and Egyptian temples.   Minecraft map download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/o44ayb9c0be4bnp Build in minecraft v1.11.2 using default textures and worldedit plugin. This is my entry for the Low Poly Game Challenge for Sketchfab! The hero of the game is a brave Monk, surrounded by his KI energy, which is willing to fight the scary Ryuu Dragon to save his friend, trapped at the top of the castle. In the left side of the screen, there’s a Takoyaki shop where you can recharge your energy. And in the right side, you can find Kappa, a fisherman with whom you can talk to ear prizes. Get ready and fight the dragon to follow the path and get the Daruma item. That’s the only way to get inside the castle, which is floating in the blue sky air above furious sea. It was modeled and assembled with Maya. For this scene, I used a few textures, for the sky, sea and caustic, made with Photoshop. Hey friends, in the last episode of the podcast Tip of the Tongue (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsnxeSJF1qI) the audible shoes were invented. They are shoes with built in speakers and would play you an audiobook while walking in them. So naturally during the last 5 days I made these things while repeatedly telling myself that “I gotta buy those audible shoes” and laughing like an idiot. I quite like how they turned out. What do you think? Sculpting, retopo and rendering done in Blender. Texturing done in Substance Painter. A.k.a. When life gives you eggs… Created in Blender and Gimp. The egg model is a simple elongated UV-sphere, cut in two through a boolean modifier using a subdivided plane, which vertices have been randomized. The egg white was simulated with fluids physics, before being manually sculpted to correct artifacts and smoothen it. The yolk was added manually later. All the shell textures are procedural, and were created with Cycles nodes baked to the exported model before actually “cracking” it open.
