This is a very simple scene including everything that I made for my most recent project: Medieval Village. My task was to make the tailor shop which I created to be very poor looking and also included a little sassy drawing of him on the front of the house to show his personality. The main plinth got a market with some materials, there is a pumpkin patch in the back that was not made for the tailor himself but something for the entire village to use. Then there is a tiny island with some underwear and clothes to dry. A crystal-powered floating castle. There be demons inside. Pink demons. I was aiming for a Warcraft look (as in Frozen Throne, not necessarily WoW) with limited resolution hand painted textures. Glow FX were originally done as billboard planes, flickering was achieved by randomly rescaling them; the little bat and moving candle flames were animated by shifting UV - as these techniques are currently unavailable on Sketchfab I edited them out and left a static model with no billboard tracking. So this was a cool project to work on, I like sculpting weird artsy stuff and I’ve been trying to learn Speedtree and trees are pretty boring to look at for hours at a time while you’re trying to figure out what all the buttons and sliders do. I also had to learn a whole new workflow for this but it is what it is. The concept was heavily inspired by ‘The Last Of Us’ in the beginning, I also wanted the body to be similar to my ‘Corpse Flower’ model since theyre both in a larger project together. Initially while I was figuring out Speedtree this model had blue leaves so I was going for that Willow tree vibe but it wasnt looking right. Then I got inspired by the art in ‘Diablo 4’ and scrapped the leaves and added more tiny branches and that kinda brought the whole Blood Tree thing together. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 197388 polygons.

Maybe we will never know. There is a bike, right there next to the tree, but it have not been moved in ages, and the cup over that table seems to be fairly old. The tiny blue birds have built homes around the thick leaves hanging from the house´s roof, and the woodhouse is almost empty. Is it someone even living here?
